Issue One – Autumn 2026 (October 2026)

Welcome to Issue One of Corollary SF Magazine. We have six stories for you, driven by relationships, emotional connections and social concerns, unfolding across speculative worlds ranging from near-future dystopias and virtual settings to the wider Solar System.

We have work from seasoned authors alongside newer writers, showing that a strong idea and effective execution can still find an audience. That is not to say the market is not highly competitive: more good stories are being written than there are opportunities for publication. Over each year, we expect to add around 24–32 publication slots to the market, and we will give a fair shot to all submitted stories. Reading the stories in this issue will give some indication of our tastes, but there are many other styles, speculative sub-genres and subjects that we also enjoy.

We may also publish factual articles on speculative and science fiction in the Editor’s Library section of the website on a more ad hoc basis. Our preference is for articles on contemporary subjects such as writing craft and short-fiction publishing, newer speculative sub-genres, and the continuing development of SF themes including AI, genetics and medicine, other technologies, physics and astrophysics, gender issues and climate change.

We expect the magazine to grow organically, but additional publicity is always welcome. If you like anything you see here, please let others know.

Now to the stories…
